             As a certified doula and childbirth educator, I have provided labor support and taught childbirth classes for over 16 years in Cedar City, St. George, and surrounding areas.  I am committed to providing physical and emotional support during labor, birth and following.  My focus is on you, the laboring mom, and bringing a calm, engaged presence to birth while creating an environment of warmth and respect.  I will support you in your choice of birthing at home, in the hospital, or in a birth center.  Initially certifying with The Bradley Method, I'm experienced with a variety of comfort measures and relaxation techniques and have received specialized training and certification as a VBAC doula (The VBAC Link) and with Madriella. I am CPR certified and hold an AAS degree. I consider it such a privilege to witness the miracle of birth and offer peaceful guidance to support couples through this life-changing time.  Along with my understanding of birth as a doula and childbirth teacher, I have birthed our four children and use each of these experiences, as well, in offering my clients practical and informational support.  While I believe that birth is a natural process, I understand that every woman's needs and preferences for birth are unique and personal.  Included with my doula services are birth prep classes, if desired.              ​

         Cedar City has been my home for nearly four decades.  I am married to my sweetheart and best friend, and we are blessed with four kind adult kiddos, all of which are married--adding three daughters-in-law and a son-in-law to our crew.  We enjoy living in sunny Southern Utah with the recreation of the beautiful surrounding mountains and red rocks of the desert.  Camping and spending time on the water are definite favorites.  When I'm not attending births, you can find me working in our yard, walking our chocolate lab Murphy, curled up with a book, whipping up
a meal, or wandering through The Home Depot.
